This 2-1/2” shell still packs enough power to send its 1/5 ounce slug flying out of the muzzle at 1,830 fps. Anything going that fast is going to have a pancake-flat trajectory. The rifled slug ought not to present an issue when fired through a choke, and its hollow point nose cavity will unleash deadly cavitation throughout penetration. Such a wound channel makes for a thoroughly unpleasant experience for any deer, and is plenty lethal with the right placement.

Super-X propellant burns clean whether it powers a shell or a cartridge. This shell also features a stong and tightly crimped hull, a brass base that smooths out fast loading, and a wad that pushes its slug evenly out of the barrel.
